Villa Park ...

An Arsenal team high on confidence and back to their fluent best take on a Villa side that have been banging in the goals for fun themselves. Both sides are suspect at the back and hence there are bound to be goals in the game. Gilberto has done a groin and will not figure against Villa or against the Red Devils. Van persie has recovered from the knock he picked up against Doncaster and is raring to go. The Arsenal captain believes that the team is back to their best and are on track. The gaffer has said that the year has been satisfactory but he would like to better next year. He also talks about the kind of players he will be looking for in the jan window especially with toure an eboue on cup of nations duty, he will have to look for back-up.
Coming to the game,Arsenal should win this but Cesc and Flamini will not be allowed to rest by an in from Davis who also comes up with the odd goal every now and then. If the battle in the mid-field is won then the game is ours for the taking.Baros and Moore will also create chances but i am hoping that our back 4 can contain them.I wont be surprised if Cygan is attacked on the flank and crosses are whipped in. Ridgewell and co. will be put under immense pressure .
This game is not only important because of the 3points but also because of the next game coming up..Manu wont have it easy against Bolton and will be made to sweat.Any momentum gained by the gunners can be taken to the Manu game.

Pathetic display! I am getting used to this kinda spineless performance now.

You have to see it as a point gained rather than two points surrendered. Sure the performance left much to be desired. We were lucky in the end to get away with a draw. Looking at the result from the ManYoo / Bolton game, I hate to think that we could be in for another humilating defeat at Highbury.

Well in the end, i guess ur right. But if we dont win against teams like villa albeit away, how will we get the points to be up there with the chelseas and liverpools?ur right, I am afraid manu are going to come and maul us.I am sure they ll let loose ronaldo and giggs on cygan and lauren and thats where we ll have a problem cos there aint much between the 2 sides otherwise.

What bothers me the most is how sometimes Henry goes missing from games. I love him, he's a great player with a magic touch but he just disappears off the radar! Hopefully on Tuesday he will be back. Otherwise, with Rooney and Van, ManYoo have a deadly tried and tested strike partnership, while we are still breeding ours!

I couldnt agree more. But then he has always been like that...a bit mecurial. This game is going to be tough.
I saw some transfer talk on skysports linking us with paddy again. Also, looks like we have won the race to sign Kuyt.
I am hoping that the gaffer will spend the money he has and wisely at that.

Mr. Arsene Wenger,

Please buy someone in the jan window and i dont mean a 7 year old kid cos i dont give a shit abt Beveren or any other of ur feeder clubs.Get a strong player who can mix it up with the Makelele s and others.I am sorry but we cant let speed and Nolan out muscle and outplay us.And if u havent noticed already,Cesc is only 18..
I know u have "a gr8 belief in ze squad" but a few players and 10 7 year olds dont make a squad.
Buy Dacourt or even better get back Paddy....Please
Btw, i am not watching the game vs manu as i have to head down south for some college related work.So it ll be great if any reader of this blog would message me the score at 0091-98685-91246.Thanks in advance.

Ps-Can someone explain why campbell is taking free-kicks with his left foot? is it bcos he s not sure whether he ll make it as a central defender in Sven s squad and is trying to make the left-mid field position his...?What a farce!
